World Firsts — On a Router

Nobody else has
built this. Ever.

Not Netgear. Not Asus. Not Cisco. Not Google. Not Ubiquiti. Features that have never existed on a home or small-business router — until Rocket Routers shipped them. And the count keeps going up.

Device Phonebook — Name, Export, Restore

Click any device name on any card and rename it — "Nest Thermostat", "Jake's PS5", whatever makes sense to a human. That name syncs instantly to every other card showing the same device. Export your entire network as a dated CSV: MAC, IP, custom name, vendor, DHCP hostname. Then the part nobody has done before — if your router is reset or reflashed, upload that CSV back and every device gets its name restored automatically, matched by MAC address. Your custom names survive firmware upgrades. SolarWinds charges £4,000 a year for network asset management less capable than this. It runs on your router.

The Dashboard — No Router Has Anything Like It

A control centre that makes enterprise tools look basic.

Every Rocket Router ships with a dashboard built from scratch. Not a rebadged OpenWrt interface — something nobody has ever shipped on router hardware before.

🗺️
World First

Live Network Topology Map

A real-time D3.js force-directed graph showing every device on your network as a glowing node. Traffic flows between them as animated lines. Drag nodes. Hover for IP, MAC, connection count. Refreshes every 5 seconds. Runs entirely on the router — no cloud, no app, no subscription.

🌍
World First

BGP Route Tracer — World Map

Type any domain. Your router runs traceroute, geolocates every single hop, and plots the path on a live satellite world map — colour-coded by latency. Green under 30ms. Amber up to 100ms. Red above that. Click any hop for its IP, city, ISP and AS number. Your actual network path, visualised.

World First

"Where Did My Data Go?" — Live Global Traffic Map

Every active connection leaving your network, geo-located and plotted on a D3 Natural Earth projection world map. Countries your traffic touches are highlighted by connection intensity. Hover any country to see what's going there. Flag emojis, mini bar charts, live updates from the router firewall table. A real-time map of your household's internet traffic — built into firmware. Never done anywhere.

🤖
World First

AI Packet Analyst — Powered by Claude

Capture live network traffic for up to 5 minutes — then hit one button. Anthropic's Claude AI analyses the capture and replies in plain English. "Your Samsung TV is sending telemetry to 14 ad networks every 4 minutes." "This device is connecting to AWS servers in us-east-1." From a router dashboard. No other router manufacturer has done this. Not even close.

📱
World First

WiFi Device Scheduler

Every device on your network by name, in a clean list. Pause any device instantly — one tap, enforced at the firewall level via nft. Or set a bedtime schedule: "Jake's PS5 goes offline at 10pm, back on at 7am." No app. No cloud. Just works. Parents have been asking for this since WiFi was invented. Nobody put it on the router until now.

Live System Charts — Netdata Built Into Firmware

Netdata is a package you install and maintain separately. We built it directly into the firmware. Five live stat pills update every second: CPU, RAM, temperature, connections, load average — colour-coded green to red. Below them, four 60-second rolling canvas charts: CPU history, RAM, network throughput, active connections. 1-second granularity, no extra install, no config. Just open the browser.

Never built into router firmware before
📡
World First

Live Bandwidth Graph — 1-Second Canvas

A real-time canvas chart updating every second showing bytes per second per interface — WAN, LAN, or ethernet. Watch it spike the instant someone starts a 4K stream. 60-second rolling window, auto-scaling, download in green, upload in blue. Separate from the monthly stats — this is the heartbeat view of your network.

Native, live, zero cloud
🔴
World First

Async Packet Capture — Up to 5 Minutes

Most routers that even offer tcpdump make you wait with a frozen screen. Ours is fully async — capture starts in background, the dashboard shows a live countdown and rolling packet count, you can stop early at any time. Up to 300 seconds. Up to 10,000 packets. Download the pcap file straight to your browser.

No other router dashboard does this

Security — Enterprise Tools, Home Router Price

Security features that enterprise teams pay thousands for. Built in.

Out of the box, no extra packages, no configuration. These tools exist on enterprise gear costing hundreds of thousands. On your router, they're just there.

🍯
World First

Honeypot Mode — Active Attacker Detection

Fake services on the most commonly probed attack ports: FTP, Telnet, SSH, RDP, HTTP and more. The moment anything connects — a scanner, a bot, a rogue device — it's logged with timestamp, source IP and port, then automatically dropped at the firewall. A live attack feed in the dashboard shows every probe in real time. A configurable honeypot with live dashboard feed built into home router firmware. A world first.

World First

DNS Spy Mode — Every Query, Every Device

Toggle on and every DNS query from every device on your network streams into a live feed. See exactly what your Samsung TV is asking for at 3am. Filter by domain. Known ad and tracker domains are flagged in red instantly. Toggle any domain to block it with one click. DNS is the phonebook of the internet. Spy Mode lets you read every page of it.

🔐
World First

Tiered Admin Security Model

The dashboard is open to everyone on your LAN — family and flatmates get the network stats, bandwidth graphs, world map. But the powerful tools — DNS Spy, Honeypot, nmap, packet capture — are locked behind an admin session. Non-admins see a lock overlay with a sign-in prompt. Admin sessions are verified server-side on every request. The Explorer tab isn't even present in the HTML sent to non-admin browsers. Hiding tabs in CSS is not security. This is.

🔬
World First

Full nmap Network Scanner

A complete nmap interface built into the dashboard — with every flag: stealth scan, OS detection, service fingerprinting, timing controls, evasion options, decoy IPs. Security professionals spend years learning this tool. It's on your router. With a GUI. Point, click, scan.

Enterprise tool. Home router price.
🛡️
Built In

Network-Wide Ad & Tracker Blocking

40,000+ known ad and tracker domains blocked at the DNS level — before they reach any device. Switchable between light, normal, pro and ultimate blocklists. Every phone, TV, laptop and smart speaker on your network is protected the moment the router boots. No app. No browser extension. No device-by-device setup.

Every device. Zero effort.
Built In

Wi-Fi Channel Optimiser

Live neighbour scan across all 2.4GHz channels. Scores each channel on interference and congestion. Tells you the best channel to switch to. One click to apply it. Your WiFi improves in under 5 seconds. Most routers make you dig through menus and guess. Ours does the analysis for you.

Analysed. Optimised. Done.

Router File Explorer — Your Router Is a Computer

SSH gives you a terminal. We give you a file manager.

A full two-pane browser-based filesystem explorer built directly into the dashboard firmware. Navigate the entire router. Edit config files. Download and upload. All from a browser tab. All locked behind admin session — invisible to everyone else.

📂

Navigate the Filesystem

Two-pane layout. Directory tree on the left, file content on the right. Navigate anywhere on the router — /etc/config, /var/log, /proc/net. Everything.

✏️

Edit Files In the Browser

Click any text file to view it. Hit Edit to modify it inline. Network config, firewall rules, shell scripts — save changes directly without touching the terminal.

⬇️

Download & Upload

Download any file to your PC with one click. Upload files from your PC to any directory on the router. Config files, scripts, blocklists — direct transfer, no SCP needed.

🔒

Admin Only — Truly Locked

Not hidden in CSS. Not visible in source. The Explorer tab and all its backend endpoints are literally absent from what non-admin browsers receive. The first browser-based file manager built into router firmware.

Dangerous virtual filesystem paths (/proc/kmsg, /dev/) are blocked server-side. Every file operation is verified against the admin session on the router before it executes.

Claude AI — Anthropic — On a Router

The world's most capable AI. On a home router.

Rocket Routers is the first router manufacturer to integrate Anthropic's Claude AI directly into the hardware dashboard. Not a cloud redirect. Not a link to ChatGPT. Claude runs from the router itself — analysing your actual network traffic, in real time, and explaining it in plain English.

What Claude does on your router:

🔍
Traffic Analysis
Reads raw tcpdump output, identifies devices, services and external connections, flags anomalies — in plain English.
🛡️
Security Flags
Identifies unusual connections, unexpected data destinations, known ad networks and telemetry services phoning home.
💬
Human Language
"Your TV is sending data to 14 ad networks." Not packet dumps. Not IP addresses. Plain English with bullet points and emoji.

Your API key lives in /etc/rocket/ai-key — chmod 600, owner-readable only. Never sent to Rocket Routers. Never logged.

The Mycelium — Yggdrasil Global Mesh

A global encrypted mesh. Built into the router.

Every Rocket Router is a node in the Mycelium — a global peer-to-peer encrypted network built on Yggdrasil. No central servers. No ISP in the middle. No single point of failure. Your router connects automatically to every other Rocket Router on the planet.

🔐

End-to-End Encrypted

Every Yggdrasil connection is cryptographically signed and encrypted. Your traffic is private even from us.

🌐

Global IPv6 Address

Every router gets a permanent, globally routable IPv6 address in the 200::/7 subnet. Reach your router from anywhere on the mesh.

🔄

Self-Healing

The mesh routes around failures automatically. No single point of failure. No central authority. The more nodes, the stronger it gets.

🏠

Local Mesh Too

Nearby Rocket Routers connect directly over 802.11s — a local neighbourhood mesh that works even without internet.

No router manufacturer ships Yggdrasil as a built-in, pre-configured, auto-connecting mesh. We do. On every unit. From day one.

More Things Nobody Else Ships

The list keeps going.

🎬
World First

P2P Video Sharing Over the Mesh

Upload a video to your router. It appears in the dashboard for every node in the Mycelium. Other users can watch it, vote on it, comment on it — all over the encrypted Yggdrasil mesh. YouTube but owned by the network. No content moderation by a corporation. No algorithms. No ads.

💬
World First

Self-Hosted Matrix Chat Server

A full Matrix-compatible chat server (conduwuit) runs on the router's SSD. Encrypted group chat, direct messages, file sharing, image sharing — all hosted on your hardware. Your conversations never leave your building unless you choose to federate. No Signal, no WhatsApp, no Telegram middleman.

Your server. Your data.
📲
World First

Native PWA + Push Notifications

Install the Rocket dashboard as a native app on Android or iOS straight from the browser — no app store needed. Get push notifications from your router: security alerts, device connections, bandwidth warnings. Your router pings your phone. Not a third-party service. Straight from the hardware to your lock screen.

From the router to your phone
🏛️
World First

Digital Sovereignty Audit

One button. Your router reads every active connection and resolves which corporation owns the infrastructure it runs on — not geography, ownership. You might find 80% of your household's traffic routes through three companies. The audit names them, quantifies them, and shows you what you're actually funding every time you open a browser. Knowledge first. Action follows.

Know who owns your data path
👻
World First

Ghost Device Detector

Some devices lie. They appear offline — switched off, put away, supposedly disconnected — but they're still sending packets. The Ghost Detector cross-references your active firewall connections against your device list and surfaces anything generating traffic that claims not to be there. Smart TVs. IoT devices. Things that never truly sleep. Named, listed, explained in plain English.

Nothing hides on this network
📜
World First

Network Constitution

Write your network rules in plain English. "Kids' tablets off at 9pm." "Gaming console gets priority Friday nights." "Limit the TV to 20Mbps." The router reads each rule and translates it into real firewall, cron, and QoS entries automatically. No command line. No router admin menus. No manual rule syntax. Describe what you want — the network obeys.

Your rules. Your network.
😤
World First

Corporate Discomfort Index

A single daily score: how many corporate tracking attempts hit your network today. Not jargon — a number from 0 to 100, updated in real time from your DNS query log. Zero means the corporations are having a bad day. A high score means they're having a field day with your household. DNS-level detection catches trackers that never load anything visible. Emotional, accessible, accurate.

One number. Zero ambiguity.

Predictive Modem Reboot

Instead of waiting for the connection to drop, the router watches your signal quality trend over time. If RSRP has been steadily declining for the last hour, a dropout becomes statistically likely. The predictor detects the pattern early and lets you schedule a modem restart at a quiet window — 3am, before you wake up — so the connection comes back clean before you need it. Prevention, not recovery.

Fix it before it breaks
🏆
World First

Bandwidth Inheritance

Every network has a pecking order. When the gaming PC sleeps, should the work laptop inherit its bandwidth priority? When the kids' devices go offline, does the TV fill that space? Bandwidth Inheritance lets you define a priority hierarchy. When a higher-priority device disconnects, its bandwidth allocation flows down to the next device in line automatically. No manual reconfiguration. The network manages itself.

Priority that thinks for itself
📈
World First

Signal Trend Predictor

Your router charts RSRP and SINR signal quality over time — not just a snapshot but a rolling history with trend analysis built in. Best signal period of the day, worst-point detection, peak vs trough comparison. The predictor identifies the optimal window for heavy downloads before you schedule them. No app. No cloud. The intelligence lives on the router itself.

Know your signal before you need it
📋
World First

ISP Evidence Reporter

Your router runs automated speed tests every six hours and logs every result with a timestamp — download speed, upload speed, signal quality, and time of day — saved to an SSD log. When your ISP tells you the problem is your equipment, export a CSV. One click. Weeks of evidence. Timestamped, specific, undeniable. Your router builds the complaint file for you.

Evidence your ISP can't argue with
⏱️
World First

Network Time Machine

Your router takes a snapshot of every device's traffic usage every hour — how much each IP address transferred, in and out. Load any past hour and see exactly what was on your network and what it consumed. Find out which device quietly downloaded 40GB at 3am. Identify usage patterns you never knew existed. The network remembers what you forgot to check.

Rewind your network to any hour
🚨
World First

AI Anomaly Watchdog

The router watches traffic volume continuously. If any device transfers more than 200MB in a five-minute window — well outside normal usage patterns — it flags the event, timestamps it, and adds it to a persistent alert feed. A device quietly exfiltrating data, a smart TV phoning home with a suspiciously large payload, a compromised IoT sensor: the Watchdog catches the pattern before you ever notice the symptoms.

Catches what you'd never see
🔀
World First

Per-Device VPN Routing

Not all devices should go through the same pipe. Route your work laptop through WireGuard. Let the gaming console hit the internet direct for lowest latency. Send the smart TV through a privacy exit node. Per-Device VPN Routing lets you assign any device on your network to any tunnel — or no tunnel — independently. Configured from the dashboard. No command line. No separate VPN apps per device.

One network. Every device routed differently.

Router Diary — AI Writes Your Network's History

At midnight every day, your router reads that day's data — signal quality, speed tests, which devices were active, how much was transferred, any anomalies flagged — and asks Claude to write one paragraph about it. Not a log. A diary entry. Specific, observational, in plain English. After a year, you have 365 paragraphs: a chronicle of your household's digital life. No other router has ever done this. Nobody even thought to.

Your network, in its own words
🪦
World First

Device Obituary

When a device hasn't been seen on your network for 30 days, your router notices. It pulls that device's lifetime stats — total data transferred, how long it was active, what it was named — and writes a short farewell. The old phone that got upgraded. The tablet that broke. The laptop someone moved out with. Each one gets a moment of acknowledgement. Darkly human. Completely unique. Nobody else has thought to do this.

Every device gets a goodbye
👤
World First

Device Presence Intelligence

Your router builds a behavioural profile for every device — when it typically comes online, when it goes offline, how long it stays active. It tracks every connection and disconnection with timestamps. An unknown device appearing at 3am. A device that's been offline for days suddenly active. Your child's tablet connecting at midnight when it should be in sleep mode. Presence Intelligence surfaces the anomaly in plain English, without you having to go looking.

Your network knows who's home

One-Click Dual-SIM Failover

Put two SIM cards in. Open the dashboard. The Setup Wizard detects both modems automatically — no configuration, no terminal, no reading a wiki. Two buttons appear: Apply Failover and Apply Balanced. Read the one-line description, click the one you want. That is the entire process for setting up multi-WAN policy routing on dual 5G modems. Carrier-grade redundancy. One click. A Remove button brings you back if you change your mind. No router manufacturer has shipped this as a point-and-click operation. Not one.

Carrier redundancy in a single click

Live Network Pictogram — Plain English, Real Traffic

A live visual diagram of your entire network renders in the browser — INTERNET at the top, your modem in the middle showing real-time upload and download speeds, your router below it, WiFi bands and wired ports fanning out with live traffic counters. Empty modem slots say "No SIM — modem slot empty" in plain English. Nothing is a cryptic interface name. Every label is a sentence a human can read. The pictogram redraws itself live as your network changes. A live topological network diagram with real traffic data, built into consumer router firmware. Never done before.

Your network drawn live, every second
🔧
World First

Self-Healing Boot Routing

When you have two modem slots and one is empty, most routers create a default route for both — including the dead one — and silently fail. The Rocket Plus E detects which USB slot your active SIM is actually in on every single boot, removes routing entries for empty slots automatically, and verifies DNS is functional. It does this through a firmware-baked hotplug script that fires the moment the modem interface comes up. You never see it happen. The router simply works, regardless of which slot you put the SIM in or how many slots are occupied. Self-diagnosing, self-correcting boot routing. Built into the firmware. A world first.

Fixes itself. Every boot. Automatically.
🧬
World First

Mycelium Mind — Distributed Neural Network

Every Rocket Router running Claude AI is a neuron. The Mycelium Mind connects them: anonymised, distilled insights from each node — useful knowledge stripped of all personal data — propagate across the mesh over Yggdrasil. Every node gets smarter as the network grows. Your conversations stay private on your device, always. What shares is only the wisdom — never the words. The more nodes join, the more intelligent every node becomes. Nobody has shipped distributed mesh-native AI on community-owned hardware. Not Google. Not OpenAI. Not anyone.

The mesh learns. Together.
